Young Men's Camp

The Young Men's High Adventure camp took place in Broken Bow the same week the girls had their YW camp.  Corey was home with Nathan all week while the rest of us were in Oklahoma.  We even got to go kayaking together with the boys, which was fun.  It was Travis' last high adventure and Jonah's first one.

Young Women's Camp

Being a youth leader, I got to go to camp with my girls this year.  It was Annmarie's first year and Eliza was a YCL (Youth Camp Leader).  We went to a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  We had hiking and swimming and played games and did karaoke.  The boys had their high adventure in the same area and we met up with them for some kayaking and cliff jumping.  Camp was fun and I was so glad that I got to be a part of it this year.

Travis' Senior Pictures

We hired a photographer for Travis' senior photos because of a deal we got to help promote her business.  The package included four sessions.  Because of cold weather and busyness, Travis only got three sessions with her before graduating.  We decided to use his fourth session for his mission pictures.  But we really liked her photos and will hire her again for Eliza.

Travis' High School Graduation

The culminating event of the school year was, of course, Travis' graduation.  Grandpa and Grandma were able to come to it, and they stayed on for Maggie's which was happening after ours.  His class was pretty big too.  Eliza was able to get some decent pictures of the processional.  The event was at the Allen Events Center.  We did not have Jonah, Annmarie, or Nathan come, which was fine since we were only allotted seven tickets.  We ended up giving two tickets to the Gilberts.  It's crazy that three of our kids are high school graduated adults now.

Last Day of School and Feed My Starving Children

Travis' first day of school and his last day of school. He started school at Silver Crest Elementary in Herriman Utah. He went there for kindergarten and first grade. In second grade, he went to Foothills, also in Herriman. Then we moved in the middle of the school year to Texas and he finished elementary school at Groves Elementary in Wylie Texas. Then he went to Draper Intermediate, Cooper Junior High and finally Wylie High School. He was a Knight, a Mustang, a Gator, a Patriot, and a Pirate.

On the last day of school, the ward signed up to do service at Feed My Starving Children, a charity in Richardson that packs food and ships it to hunger deprived areas of the world.  Jonah and Travis were not able to go but Eliza and Annmarie went.
