Freshman Pirate Pickup

Pirate pickup is basically when the kids get their ID badges and their chromebooks.  Jonah attended the freshman one and after picking up his ID badge, discovered that it was double printed on one that must have been a mistake.  Funny!
 

In-N-Out Legacy

Corey was on a work trip in California and saw this, his dad's business card, displayed and thought it was pretty cool.

Eliza and Maggie Photos

Someone that Eliza knows, Nick Celis, was wanting to establish himself as a photographer and offered some photo shoots for a very low price, so Eliza took advantage of that and got her cousin Maggie to get photos done together.

 

Marching Band Fitting for Jonah

 

Jonah starts marching band this year as he will be a freshman at Wylie High.  I had to take a photo at the fitting to send to Westley.  It's crazy that Jonah is this old!

Cheer Camp!

Annmarie attended cheer camp the third week of July. The camp took place at Burnett Junior High. She was able to learn stunts and cheers for the football season. She had fun getting to know the girls better and learning more about cheerleading. Go Annmarie!

 

More Opry Fun

Eliza performed at the Wylie Opry again.  These performances are fun for the family to attend.  I love that they get to perform on stage with a live band.

Annmarie's Cheer Party

Just like Eliza did when she was in cheer, Annmarie had a summer swim party with the cheer squad to meet the girls and get to know them. The cheer moms also spent the time visiting. Annmarie also met her cheer "big sis". They had the big sisters (and brother--Liam the mascot) decorate these giant boxes that they jumped out of for the reveal. Annmarie was hoping to get Kinzlee Zeltner in our ward, but she was paired with Alannah Darr. Annmarie had fun learning some stunts in the pool.

 

Free Slurpee Day

On July 11th, 7-Eleven gives out free slurpees.  We went to our nearest one and got our free slurpees.  Yum!

Independence Day Celebration

All we did for the Fourth of July this year was go to the fireworks on July 3rd at Founders Park in Wylie.  Travis was at work but the rest of us went.  We played Nertz while we waited for fireworks and walked around.  The show was actually decently long and had some great big ones.  I like having it so close by.
