End of the Month

So Travis had to leave his truck behind and we decided to sell it. Unfortunately, it has not been starting. So we had to tow it away to get fixed. It actually happened a couple of times. We will be selling it as soon as we get it back. Annmarie continues to stay busy with cheerleading and Jonah with marching band. Fall football season is one of the best times of year here in Texas!

Nathan

Nathan has been doing great this school year. He signed up to be a Gator Greeter, which required an interview this time around (new principal, new way of doing things).

He's been playing fall ball with his team and they are doing so great.  He plays catcher and does a great job with it.

He was on the announcement crew on the day they had a Gator Gathering and led the school in the pledge, which was pretty cool.  The kids in the class I was subbing for were excited about seeing my son Nathan up there leading it.

HOCO 2025

Both Eliza and Jonah went to Homecoming.  Eliza went with Parker as her date and Kaylee Collett and Logan Adams were in her group.  They are all from Wylie 3rd Ward.  Logan's older sister Whitney went to church prom with Caleb.

Jonah went with a group of friends from school and church.  From left to right in the top picture: Hailyn Malouf, Hazel Palmer, Lexi McMurdie, Livy Otts, Peyton Hellewell, Sam Stowell, Ryan Reese, Cameron Whetten and Jonah.

Homecoming Week

It's Homecoming week in Wylie Texas, which means the Homecoming Parade! This year, Annmarie marched in the parade with the Cooper cheerleaders. Jonah got to go in the parade with That Wylie Band. Eliza walked with Black Box Theatre and even our cousin Nozomi was in it with Wylie Drill Team.  Eliza was asked to Homecoming Dance by a boy named Parker in Wylie 3rd ward.

On the Friday of the game is when the kids wear their mums or garters to school.  Eliza did not do the mum/garter exchange with her date, as the whole date was kind of last minute--originally it was going to be just a group, but then they decided to go as dates.  I ordered her a senior mum, which is all white and silver.

Ward Campfire

On the day Corey got home from the trip to take up Travis and Caleb, the ward had a campfire activity.  I did not got because I was sick with some respiratory bug all week, probably COVID or the flu.  I pretty much spent the week in bed after Corey left with the older boys.  But Annmarie and Eliza sang together at the campfire, so Corey took a picture for me.

Travis Leaves (and Caleb too)

Very Early on Tuesday September 9th Corey left with Travis and Caleb to drive to Utah.  He was going to be dropping Travis off at the MTC and then driving to Idaho to drop Caleb off in Rexburg for school at BYU-Idaho.

They drove to Cortez Colorado for the first night and then left really early the next day to drive to Provo so Travis could make his drop-off time.  They still made time for lunch with Westley at In-N-Out.  They were in Utah on Wednesday and Thursday and then on Friday, Corey drove Caleb up to Idaho with Westley along for the ride.  They even ran into Andrew Whetten from the ward at the bookstore.  After leaving Caleb in Rexburg, Corey stayed the night at Aunt Amy's in North Salt Lake and left from Salt Lake really early on Saturday to come home.
