Violin Recital Plus Football

Eliza had her violin recital. She started taking lessons with Audrey Talbot in the ward and this was her first recital. sakura also took lessons from Audrey so she was in the recital as well. Eliza is such a gifted musician! And also, Travis played in the spring football game where they pit all the other grades against the varsity players for the following year. He will not be on varsity as a sophomore, but he did well in the spring game and got his picture in the paper a couple of times from that game as a defensive player (number 52). Go Travis!

 

Memorial Day 2022

For Memorial Day this year, we got together with exteneded family and had a giant kickball game. Then we went over to Aaron and Kaori's house for swimming and grilling. I also took a picture of us at breakfast and I made jam with Jonah and Annmarie's help. It was a great Memorial Day!

 

Nathan's Kindergarten Graduation

The baby has graduated from kindergarten! Nathan had his kindergarten graduation. He had a very good school year and loved his teacher, Meg Hetherington. All of my kids have had the exact teacher that was the best one for them in kindergarten and I'm so grateful for that. Can't believe the last one is this old!

 

Field Day and Water Fight Fun

Annmarie and Nathan had field day and my friend Elena Walker, who is Luke's mom was a volunteer and took pictures for me of my kids. She has kids the same ages as Nathan and Annmarie (Taylor and Luke). And Annmarie got to participate in a water fight with the principal and vice principal (Vanessa Hudgins and Brittany Brown) because I won a bid for the PTA auction for it.

 

End of School 2022

Eliza earned an academic award at the end of this school year. She is the first in the family to earn one in 8th grade. Also, Annmarie was on the A honor Roll for the year for 3rd grade.  She had a great year with Ms. Stephanie Graber as her teacher.  During the last week, the kids each got to teach the class something they were an expert in.  Annmarie chose gymnastics, of course.  Parents were invited to come watch when their child taught the lesson.

 

Spotlight on Nathan

Nathan helped Corey take down the old fan in the play room and install a new one. He sure gets tuckered out by the end of the day!

 

New Fire Station

Wylie opened a new fire station near our house, so we went to the grand opening. Grandpa and Grandma came with us and so did Paige and the kids. It was crowded but it was still fun for the kids to see the new station and the trucks and everything.  There was free food, but the line was long, so we ended up getting some hot dogs from Walmart and going to our house to have lunch instead.
