April Miscellaneous

I love my roses that were already here when we moved in.  They are so beautiful and I get more each year.  I just wish I knew more about taking care of them.

Nathan got Westley's Darth Vader helmet/mask out of his room and started playing with it so we took a picture.  Westley will probably not be very happy, so we'll put it back.

Travis had his final choir concert of the year.  The theme was the Beatles.  It was a fun concert.

Crazy Willy

Willy keeps jumping the fence, so on our day off from school during Easter break, the kids helped me stain a section of lattice that I bought for $9 at Lowe's and nail it to the top of the fence.  We also got Willy neutered, hoping it will help with the fence jumping. 

Easter 2019

I made the usual matching Easter dresses and ordered ties for the boys again.  We dyed Easter eggs.  And Nathan had a super fun bubble bath where he went crazy playing with the bubbles.

HOA Easter Party

Most of the years we've been here, our HOA social committee puts on an Easter activity with egg hunts for older and younger kids, bounce houses, food and face painting.  It's always free and we've gone every time.  The kids have some good friends from church in the neighborhood that they like to hang out with.  It's sad to me a little that a lot of the kids are getting too big for these things now.  But they had fun hanging out with their friends and helping their younger siblings with it.  Westley and Caleb stayed home.

Final Orchestra Concert

Eliza had her final orchestra concert of the year.  I was pleased with what she learned.  She also became good friends with the girl that we carpooled with, a carpool I set up through Facebook.  She is not doing orchestra in 6th grade because she didn't want to switch schools.  So she will be doing choir.  Hopefully I can get her to keep up with playing though, with me helping her, so she can do orchestra in high school if she wants.

Kona Ice and More

Kona Ice was having a free day at the library/rec center on Monday so we went to that.  It was nice weather and free Kona Ice is always yummy.  And then I caught a picture of Nathan playing outside with Willy.  Willy has been jumping the fence (he jumps onto it and then scrambles over) so we have to watch him when he's outside.

Gymnastics Birthday Party

We do birthday parties for the kids when they turn 6, 8 and 12.  I found out that Jonah and Annmarie's gymnastics place hosts birthday parties, so I decided to sign them up for a combined party and let the coaches handle everything.  It wasn't very expensive for how many guests they were able to invite and they had entertainment for the whole time.  All I had to do was bring the cake.  They even had the tablecloths, plates, cups, forks, and napkins!   The only thing was that we ended up having the party a whole month after their actual birthdays, just due to being busy with spring break and the baptism and other things every weekend until now.
