New Driver and Baker

Travis finally got his driver's license! For some reason, we just had a hard time getting all the driving hours in for him to pass his driving test. The worst was that we got to the DPS to take the test and found that one of the tail lights in the van was out. So we had to reschedule the test for the next day and get it fixed. Actually, the worst was that I had the replacement bulb right there with us in the van, I just didn't know! We could have swapped it out and taken care of it same day. Better remember to check all the lights next time! Nathan learned how to follow a recipe and bake something himself. He made these muffins entirely by himself, a recipe from the Disney Princess Cookbook.

Temple for Caleb

Caleb went through the temple for his own endowment July 22, 2023.  We were able to  have everyone there who  lives here except for Paige and Austin.  Such an exciting time!  Fortunately for Caleb, there will be a temple in his mission boundaries.  There is not one in Westley's.

Newest Assocaite

After the family reunion Eliza finally really got to start work at In-N-Out. She will love being able to earn so much money!  It's pretty cool that for the summer, she can work with both Travis and Caleb.

Post Reunion

After the reunion, some of us drove up to Provo to spend a day at John and Allison's. Our family did that and we also drove up to Riverton for a brief drive around of our old neighborhood. We spent a few hours on BYU campus too. After that, we drove home on Saturday and Sunday. We stopped in Moriarty, New Mexico Saturday night. It's such a long drive from Texas to Utah. Someday, it would be nice to fly.

Family Pictures

I was in charge of shirts. I feel like the design was great. I was a little disappointed in the colors. The colors we originally picked, the woman who made the shirts ended up not being able to get, so I ended up having to make last minute changes without consulting anyone. I don't think very many of the siblings were happy with the results. For example, the gold was supposed to be a bit darker, more of a tan, so it looks like both Jordan's kids and our family have the same color yellow. But I thought the design was great. I was pleased with it anyway. Adam just set up his camera to take pictures of everyone.

More Family Reunion

I do not have very many pictures from the actual reunion. This is all I have left, just some random photos. The one of Travis is when we went down to Ephraim and let him check out Snow College as a possibility for football; he bought a sweatshirt.

Family Reunion Day Two, A Day in Mt. Pleasant

One thing we did was go into Mt. Pleasant to the city park and play baseball and kickball. We then had some fun family games. I do not know why I don't have pictures of these things. We went to Mt. Pleasant to the Dairy Freeze for some treats afterward. And then we all went swimming at the Mt. Pleasant pool.  There was a diving board and almost everyone took turns jumping off.  I even went off the board.  I don't have any pictures though.  It was truly an awesome day.
