When we found out that we were being put in another school because of boundary changes, we were upset. But then Westley got a notice that he had been accepted to Providence Hall, a charter school where we had put the kids' names on the list a few years before. Since he was going into sixth grade, he would be starting junior high if he went to Providence instead of last year of elementary if he switched to the other elementary school. We left the decision up to him and he chose Providence Hall. He started school a few weeks after the other kids, since his school is on a traditional school schedule. He loves junior high! He loves switching classes and he met lots of new people. Some of his elective courses, like art and desktop publishing, have turned out to be great choices for him.
