Lots of Fowles Cousins

In the month of March, my brother Aaron moved his family out to Texas from California.  Then, this month, my brother John and his wife and their baby came to visit.  This is a picture of all the Fowles cousins who were here this weekend.

Mohawk Elementary 50th Anniversary Party

My elementary school that I attended from Kindergarten through third grade and then again in sixth grade celebrated 50 years since it was opened.  They invited all alumni to join the fun.  Since we live in the area, I wanted to take my kids and show them my old school.

It was really fun to see my old school.  Adam came too and we got some pictures together out in front of the school, but I don't know where the pictures went.  I also ran into several old classmates: Ty Teague, Chris Schroeder, Jenny Hazlewood, and some of the moms of old classmates.  It was a fun day for me. 

School Awards Ceremony

At the end of every grading term, the elementary school has an awards ceremony. This term, all three of the kids earned some type of award.

Travis got on the principal's honor roll for 95+ in all subjects.

Caleb got on the A honor roll for 90+ in all of his classes.

Eliza earned a super student award (1st grade doesn't do grades).

Easter 2015

We celebrated Easter on General Conference Sunday.  The girls got their new dresses and boys their ties but we didn't get to wear them until the following week.

The Easter setup with the baskets and new ties and dresses.  We keep it simple.  We also do a jelly bean hunt, which the kids were lined up for on the stairs.

I used the same dress pattern for Annmarie's dress this year that I did for Eliza's dress back in 2010.  This is the two dresses side by side.

The girls in their "matching" new dresses  I used the same fabric but couldn't  make the same dress because none of the patterns I have had sizing for both girls.

Snoopy's birthday

Snoopy's birthday was today.  He is now thirteen years old.  We don't do anything for it, since he's a dog.  But it's fun to acknowledge that he is now a year older, seven years to him.  He's getting to be an old man.  He's been with us through seven moves and six kids.  He's been a good dog for us.  He's getting gray on his face and even in his black patches.  We have enjoyed having him as part of our family.

Neighborhood Party

Our neighborhood Homeowner's Association has occasional social gatherings. They held one for Easter. It was officially an Easter egg hunt, but they also had a bounce house, a fire truck, face painting, and other fun activities for the kids.

Poor Jonah tripped and fell as we were leaving and scraped his face on the curb. 

But it was otherwise a very fun evening.
