Swimming Fun
It is so nice to have a pool in our neighborhood. We try to go swimming every day. Summer is my favorite season. I love the carefree days and all the swimming. Jonah really warmed up to the water this year. Annmarie is fearless and we'll have to really watch her. I also love that since it's a community pool with no lifeguards, we can use innertubes and other floating devices. I do miss the use of a diving board. But it is so nice to be able to go to the pool whenever we want and most of the time, we are the only ones there. It's like our own private pool!

Fun with an Old Friend
My friend Krissy from junior high and high school was passing through Dallas on her way to New Mexico, moving from Washington, D.C. We got to have lunch with her and her husband Brad. It was very enjoyable for me to see her again. She is such a nice friend.

Easy Entertainment
I taped an empty paper towel roll to the side of the kitchen island and gave the kids a bunch of fuzz balls and a few bowls and buckets and they spent hours putting the balls through the tube and watching them fall into the bucket.

The butterflies really liked Westley's yellow Sun Devil shirt and would not leave him alone when we went into the butterfly habitat.

My roses
When we moved into our house, there was this weird looking bush by the front walk. We didn't know what it was, especially since it was January. So Corey cut off some of it because it was quite big and tangled looking and left the rest to see what happened with it. To my pleasant surprise, it turns out that it is roses! I'm sad that we cut off some of it, but hopefully I can learn how to make it really bloom. So far, only two blooms. But they sure are pretty!
