Cousin Baptism

The first weekend in June we got to celebrate the baptism of our cousin A.J.  When we turn eight years old in our church, we can choose to be baptized.   It was great having so much family there (Grandpa and Grandma came out for the baptism, of course).  This is a picture of all the Texas Fowles cousins.  Seven of us--Westley (14), Caleb (12), Travis (10), Eliza (9), Jonah (6), Annmarie (4), and Nathan (1); four from my brother Aaron--Maggie (9, almost 10), A.J. (8), Sakura (5), and Nozomi (almost 1); four from my brother Adam--Alex (almost 8), Lily (6), Elliott (4), and Luke (almost 2); and one from my brother Austin--Autumn (2).  It sure is fun living near all these cousins.

Memorial Day Weekend and 15-month-checkup

These are the boys out putting up flags for Memorial Day.  We do the flags at our HOA's entrances.

More swimming on the weekend.  The water is still kind of cold, but the kids don't seem to care that much.

Nathan and I are at the deoctor's office waiting for his 15-month-checkup.  He is such a big boy and always so cute!

End-of-School Celebration

I don't know what store we're in, but we're having fun!  Someone must have gotten hold of my phone.  Probably Eliza.  Boy, I look fat there in the background. I almost didn't know who it was, but then I saw the Fowles Family Reunion shirt and realized it was me!  Yikes!

How do we celebrate the end of a school year?  Why swimming of course!

Last Day of School and Kindergarten Graduation

Eliza  also remained on the Honor roll all year.  She loved third grade and can't wait to be in fourth grade.

Jonah is done with kindergarten.  He is only the second of our kids to have a kindergarten graduation.  The school in Utah did not do that, so Westley had one, but nobody else.  Jonah really blossomed this year in kindergarten.  I was really nervous because he can be so shy, but he did really well, both academically and socially.  We are very proud of him!

Fourth Grade Graduation

Travis graduated from fourth grade.  Here in Wylie, elementary schools go from K-4th grade, then they have intermediate schools, which are 5th and 6th grade, then junior high (7th and 8th) and then high school (9th-12th).  Travis stayed on the A Honor roll the whole time, occasionally making it onto the principal's honor roll (95's and above).  He also has a pretty great group of friends.

Last Week of School Fun

We went to the park after school on Monday just because we could.  It's the last week of school and summer is in the air.  The kids enjoyed playing on the playground.  It was a fun day.

Building Backpack Cubbies

We decided to build a place to keep our backpacks.  We bought six wooden crates, sanded them, painted them, and the glued and nailed them together.  Westley designed the cubbies and orchestrated most of the project for a scout merit badge.  We like our new piece of furniture.
