For their birthdays, I got Jonah and Annmarie a horseback riding lesson for two at some place down near Dallas. They were both so excited as neither have ridden or really even been around horses before.
I set up the time for the week after school got out for the summer, so it was hot, but it was well worth it. I'm so glad they were able to do this.
The culminating event of May 2021 has to be Westley's graduation!
Nana, Toby and Toby and Jamie flew out for the graduation. Felicity would have liked to come, but her graduation was happening at the same time.
Wylie High had it on the football field so more people could come. Being outside in Texas in May the weather was not favorable but at least it didn't thunderstorm. Westley is fully an adult! Next stop...Snow College!
We put Annmarie in dance in January just to try it out. It was through the Wylie Rec Center and they did tap and ballet. She seemed to enjoy it. They put on a recital. She will not be continuing though, due to gymnastics team and training.
I held my final preschool graduation. With Nathan starting kindergarten in the fall, I have decided to close my home preschool. It's somewhat bittersweet.
Jonah had his fourth grade graduation. He had the same teacher that both Travis and Eliza had, Ms. Scott. Also, Annmarie's last day of school in second grade with Mrs. Evans.
We had a lot of rain and there was a duck swimming in the lake formed near out mailboxes!
And the elementary school had a decades day, and Annmarie wore the poodle skirt I had made for Eliza in second grade.

Amid all the crazy of the end of the school year, Paige had her birthday, so we women got together and went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We are allowed to remove masks while eating, so we had the server take a photo of us without masks. Kaori made it possible with her gift card.
The junior high had a powder puff football game. Eliza did not participate in the game, but Travis participated as a cheerleader. Also, the school had a "Kona Ice" day, where they get to get Kona ice shaved ice. I stole the picture from the junior high Facebook page. Travis has a great group of friends, many from the ward and other ward that go to our junior high.
The junior high hosted a dance. They held it outside due to covid restrictions. Holding it outside meant they didn't have to require masks. Both Travis and Eliza went. They seemed to have had fun and they looked great!

And finally, Westley had senior prom. They were still able to hold it at the South Fork Ranch. I didn't get any pictures before he left and these were the only ones he shared with me. The girl he's with is his friend Breanna. They were not on a date and most kids did not take dates this year.
