Arizona Day Two and Three

We spent Saturday and Sunday in Arizona and then left early on Monday morning to drive to Utah.  On Saturday morning, we had a fun early breakfast with Grandpa, who got up early and made  breakfast burritos and then went swimming with the kids before he had to leave for the day to work.

Later in the day we went to a Family culture day that ASU was having in their art museum.

On Sunday, we went to church and then hung out with the family.  The kids just loved Autumn, their new baby cousin.

Arizona Day One

We arrived in Arizona in the early afternoon on Friday the 10th.  The first thing we did, of course, was go swimming!  That night I had a dessert date with my good friend Shar.  Always fun to see friends!

2015 Summer Trip, First Leg

We decided that Corey couldn't get enough time off for a vacation, so I drove to Arizona and Utah myself with the kids.  For the first leg of the journey, we went as a caravan with Kaori and the kids, as Aaron needed to also stay behind and work.

The first day, we drove from Texas to a town in New Mexico near Arizona.  We stayed the night in a hotel with a pool.  Then we drove the rest of the way to Phoenix the next day.  The kids loved going with their cousins.  It was a long drive though.

Swimming Fun

It is so nice to have a pool in our neighborhood.  We try to go swimming every day.  Summer is my favorite season.  I love the carefree days and all the swimming.  Jonah really warmed up to the water this year.  Annmarie is fearless and we'll have to really watch her.  I also love that since it's a community pool with no lifeguards, we can use innertubes and other floating devices.  I do miss the use of a diving board.  But it is so nice to be able to go to the pool whenever we want and most of the time, we are the only ones there.  It's like our own private pool!
