Cinco de Mayo
Sunday was Cinco de Mayo and while we generally don't celebrate this holiday, I thought it would be fun to make some homemade churros. They were delicious!

End of Baseball season
Nathan had his final baseball game on Saturday. His team only lost one game all season, but then they ended up losing their first tournament game. It was a rough game with some bad calls by the umps that were not in our team's favor. The boys were so sad the season was over. Westley was able to come watch Nathan play and all of us were there.
Westley is HOME!!!
Westley came home from Wisconsin on May 4th. We picked him up at the DFW airport and Grandpa and Grandma were there too. I let the kids make the signs and they were fun signs. After we picked him up, we went straight to President Monroe's house for Westley to be released. Then we went straight to Nathan's tournament baseball game. After the game, we went to In-N-Out for dinner, his first post-mission meal. Of course it was In-N-Out, since they don't have them in Wisconsin.

Promposal
Travis has a new girlfriend, Allison Pardon. He asked her to Wylie High's prom coming up in May. She is also a junior and an athletic trainer for football and wrestling. She said yes!

BYU Fan Fest
The BYU football team came to the Dallas area and held an event, a Fan Fest, so we drove out to Grapevine to be part of it. Corey was working and so were Travis and Eliza. The kids sure enjoyed meeting some of the players, Coach Sitake, and Cosmo.
On Sunday the 28th, Coach Sitake and the players gave a fireside, which Travis and Corey were able to go enjoy.
We love BYU!

Happy 50 Years!
Grandpa and Grandma Fowles had their 50th anniversary this year. John and Allison flew in from Utah and treated us to a fabulous dinner at a place called The Silver Fox. The food was so good, but so expensive--we figured John must have spent more on that one meal than we spend in a month on groceries! No need to say that will be the only time we will grace that restaurant with our presence. It was a nice way to celebrate 50 years for my parents though.

Baseball!
Both Jonah and Nathan played baseball this spring. Jonah has wanted to try it out since he quit gymnastics. He has really enjoyed playing baseball and hopes to do it again and maybe even try to do it in high school.
Nathan joined the Rangers in the fall because the Red Sox team he had been on sort of fell apart. This team has been a great team for him and we have enjoyed this season a lot with these new friends and coaches. We hope to stay on this team through the rest of his rec league baseball journey.
