Corey and I went to back-to-back UIL performances for Jonah and Eliza. Jonah's band had their UIL at the Allen Performing Arts Center on Monday the 30th and Eliza had her treble choir UIL at the Robinson Performing Arts Center in Plano later that same day so we drove from one to the other.

Weekend Fun
I was supposed to take Nathan to a play on Saturday night the 13th but I came down with strep throat. So Corey took him to see his friend Samuel White from school and our street in the Wylie Acting Group rendition of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. The next day was the In-N-Out kids Christmas party. I was not able to go to that either. Even Jonah was sick and we both went to Urgent Care. He was diagnosed with Flu and I was diagnosed with strep. I got my strep medication and he was given tips on healing. It was a rough week starting out for our family.
That Sunday night was also the "Light the World" choir concert. Eliza, Annmarie and I were in the adult choir and Nathan was in the children's chorus. Jonah and I didn't go at all, but the rest of the family went and my parents went to see it too. They said it was really good. I was sad to not be in it the last time I could with Eliza.

Eliza's Actual Birthday
Eliza turned 18 on December 6, 2025, but this post is not about her birthday celebration. That's because she did not have time that day to have a birthday celebration. Instead, she had an orchestra cluster concert. We had a ward Christmas dinner. And she had a combined choir, orchestra, and band concert. Corey and I were supposed to go to the In-N-Out Christmas party, but we decided to skip it this year in favor of these other events, especially since it was in Fort Worth.
I caught this picture of Jonah and Nathan being silly with the fox hats we have. Had to get the picture of them matching with the hats because who knows when it will happen again?
The ward Christmas dinner was really good and we had some fun games they had planned. Nathan got to be decorated as a Christmas tree. Unfortunately, our group did not finish first. The theme was Luau so we all wore our Hawaiian shirts. I wore my Hawaiian shirt, which is white with red and yellow flowers and green stems and I won an award for the most "Christmas-y Hawaiian outfit". I really just wore the only Hawaiian shirt I have!

Wylie High Choir Concert
Right after Nathan's Fourth Grade program, we hurried over to the Cross Church for Eliza's winter choir concert. The music was beautiful as always. It was Eliza's last winer concert for choir.

Cooper Choir Concert, Christmas Edition
Annmarie had her winter choir concert. She is really loving junior high choir, especially her choir teacher Mrs. Edwards, who is new to Cooper Junior High this year. Annmarie really lucked out getting her as a teacher!

Cooper Choir Concert
Annmarie had her first Cooper Choir concert this week. She loves choir and loves the friends she has made in choir (pictured with Emma Ewell). She made the Choraliers, the top mixed choir at the junior high.

Last Concerts and Programs
The last week of school is upon us!
Annmarie performed in her school's talent show and Eliza skipped school to come hear her perform.
Nathan made A Honor Roll again for the term and for the whole year. He was also a a Never-Ever Later Gator, meaning he was never tardy. Third Grade is over for him.
Annmarie had her final choir concert for Draper. She tumbled during one song. She also sang a couple solos, most notably Heads Carolina, Tails California by Jo Dee Messina. The audience totally gasped and cheered when she sang that. I think they were surprised that such a small person could have such a big voice and she did such a great job. She has a good stage presence when she wants to.

Choir Banquet
Wylie High always has their choir banquet at South Fork Ranch. I have not ever gone, even though parents are invited, because it's pretty expensive. These are some pictures taken at the banquet.

Wylie Choir Concert
Travis' final choir concert was tonight and the last time that Eliza and Travis will perform together in the same school choir. Travis was glad to be done, but Eliza was a little sad about him being gone.
