Nathan Turns One (Technically)!
Since Nathan was born on Leap Day, he won't have an actual birthday until 2020, when he turns four. So we celebrated on February 28th to keep it in February even though he really wasn't one until March 1st. But we have two birthdays in March. I didn't get any pictures it seems of his cake. I'm sure I did, but I can't find them, so they must have been deleted. But this is him and his cuteness! We just love his bright smile, easy laughter, and excitement for life! What a precious gift he has been!

New Store Opening
We got to attend the party for the new store opening in Denton. Free In-N-Out and we got to see a lot of people we know. We took all the kids. Caleb was off getting more to eat when this photo was snapped.

Valentine's Day
For Valentine's Day at school, the kids were allowed to take a decorated box. In Utah, it's a huge deal and practically a competition for the most unique and original one. Here, my kids were some of the few who brought a decorated box from home. Jonah's kindergarten class did not allow for home-brought boxes because they decorated paper sacks together at school. But Eliza (3rd grade) took hers decorated with Ever After High decorations (a book series she enjoys) and Travis made his to look like a football field and painted the players to look like the Dallas Cowboys. Thankfully, I had the football decorations already for a cake I had made for Caleb several years ago. They were both happy with their boxes and glad that they had made them.

Fun Park Day
We didn't have a lot going on, so when Paige and Kaori invited me to go to the park with them, I decided, why not? So we met them at Olde City Park. It was only us three moms plus Autumn, who is almost two, Annmarie and Nathan, and Nozomi, who is about eight months old. So not a lot of activity. Autumn and Annmarie played a little bit. Nathan loved the swings.

Mom Has Fun Too!
Every once in a while, Mom has a fun idea. This time, while Dad was out of town, we pushed the table into the living room and I let the kids watch TV while they ate. What were they watching? Why, Home Improvement! A favorite show of mine from the 90's. Sometimes Mom can be fun too!

Band Concert
Westley had a band concert. Corey was out of town and I didn't want to leave Caleb in charge for so long, plus I thought it would be good for him to watch the concert, since he is also in band. So I hauled all of the kids to the concert with me. It wasn't the greatest experience, and, as you can see, I didn't even get any pictures of Westley playing his trumpet (or even holding his trumpet). But I can now say that I have taken all of the kids to a school band concert for their sibling.
