HOCO proposals

Travis invited his girlfriend Allison to Homecoming (HOCO) and Eliza's boyfriend Thorne asked her to the dance.  

Cheering at Varsity

As part of the cheer clinic Annmarie did that last weekend, she was able to cheer through the first half of a varsity game. The varsity games are a lot of fun. A lot of people from church go to them.  Two of the other priests, Cooper Shumard and Spencer Gilbert, are on the team and their families are always there.  It's so fun for the kids to hang out with people they know.  Annmarie hasn't been able to go to very many varsity games in the past because of gymnastics.  But since her competitive season isn't until January, she can take the occasional Friday off practice and come with us to home games.

Boat Day Fun

A sister in our ward owns a boat and organized a few boat days.  I wasn't able to go to the first few because I was subbing, but I was able to finally make it to the last one that she hosted.  The other women who went were Jacky Davidson, Cindy Gilbert, and Katie Garrett (who owns the boat).  We brought snacks to eat on the boat and went out on the tube and did some boogie boarding, if that's what it's called.  I got up once, but not the other times.  It was a lot of fun and I hope to do something like it again.

Wylie Rodeo

Corey took Annmarie and Nathan to the Wylie Rodeo. Kaori was there with Nozomi also.  And Westley brought his new girlfriend Alejandra there.  I wasn't feeling well so I ended up not going and sent Corey instead. They had a lot of fun.

Cheer Clinic

Since Annmarie's competitive season doesn't start until January, I decided it would be okay for her to do the cheer clinic.  The clinic is on a Saturday, which in the past couple years has conflicted with a gymnastics meet for her.  They perform at a later football game, and she hasn't been able to miss a gymnastics practice during competition season.  This year she was able to do it, so I signed her up.  She was in it with two of her friends from school, Kamryn Sharp and Ashley Stabb.

BYU vs SMU at SMU

When I checked the BYU football schedule this year, I saw that they would be at SMU on September 6th, so I bought us tickets, since that is like 20 minutes from our house.  Unfortunately, being Friday night, that is when high school varsity usually plays, so Travis wasn't able to come with us.  Fortunately, it was a pre-season game for him still (not in district, so doesn't count toward district play) and an away game, far away, so we didn't feel too terrible not going.  

The BYU-SMU game was awesome!  It was really close and we pulled ahead just at the end, clutching the win.  Westley came with Alejandra and others from the YSA ward and sat somewhere else, but we moved around and went over to see them.  We rode the train down so we wouldn't have to park and went to the pre-game party that BYU had.  It was so much fun and a great game to see in person.  I'm just bummed that Travis didn't get to come with us.

Completion

I bought these photo frames and mats when the kids were little.  They are something that my Grandma Fellows put together for all of the Fellows grandchildren and they were given to our parents when she passed away and Grandpa Fellows moved from his house in Walnut Creek.  Now, this is our third child to have his completed.  It goes by so fast.
