In-N-Out Christmas Party

This year's Christmas Party theme was Japan.  They had some great decorations. I wish I had gotten a picture of the light saber chopsticks but I didn't.  They had written in Japanese in several places the slogan, "Quality You Can Taste".  I know because I took a picture of it and texted Aaron who told me.  It was a pretty cool party, good food as usual.  We didn't stay very long after the food.  The worst part was that after arriving I noticed my ring was not on my finger.  It had been sliding around a lot lately, so I was so scared it had fallen off somewhere.  We retraced our steps to the car and searched the car but didn't find it.  So I called the house and the kids looked for me and it turns out that I never put it on!  Whoops!  All that worry and fret over nothing.  Thank goodness!

New Piano!

My brother Adam and his wife replaced their baby grand piano with a grand piano, so they gave me their baby grand.  I was so excited about it!  I gave my spinet to one of my students.

In-N-Out Kid Christmas Party

We had never taken our kids to one of these before because they were always on a Sunday. This year was also a Sunday, but we decided that taking them to a special party once a year would be all right, and since it was after church, it worked out. Westley, Caleb and Travis were too old to go (technically, Eliza was also, having just turned 12, but since she was 11 when Corey filled out the registration, we decided to let it slide). The kids had a great time at the party and, as usual, In-N-Out put on a great event.

Eliza's Birthday

Eliza turned twelve this year so she got to have a birthday party.  I bought a Groupon for ice skating at a rink for ten people.  We could only fit eight people total in my van, so she could only invite six friends because Eliza and I (the driver) were the other two people.  Since a few friends didn't come, there was room for Annmarie. 

We celebrated her birthday as a family on Sunday the 8th.  We had gone to the In-N-Out Kids Christmas party and Westley, Caleb and Travis were in charge of making Eliza's cake. 

Allen Creche Festival

We've sort of made it our yearly tradition to go to the Allen Creche Festival every year for Christmas.  They always have it the first weekend of December.  This year was no exception and it was every bit as beautiful as it is every other year.  Both Corey and Westley were working, so they didn't come.

Cuteness Overload

Annmarie and Nathan decided to have a little dance while they were waiting for everyone else to finish getting ready for church. 

Nathan and Mom both have Santa socks, so we wore them on the same day to match.  Nathan loves his Santa socks and wears them all the time.
